Let’s Have a
oaring
Good Time

In the Roaring Twenties, a desire to fully embrace life struck the world after the end of the Great War. Social norms changed and people were ready to party and celebrate.
100+ years later, our world has changed dramatically. We are far from perfect, but we are learning to acknowledge the harsh realities of the world around us and working hard to build more inclusive societies. There’s no ignoring it: life is rough. It’s wild and real. We can’t expect most of it. No matter how we plan our futures, something is always going to interrupt. The unpredictable. So often this seems like the worst thing in the world. But, as was proved by the 1920s and as will be echoed by the 2020s, some of the most beautiful things come out of chaos.
Intimate Wed was born in a time of chaos, in a truck on the way to a wedding during the worst pandemic to hit the world in a century.

Big traditional weddings are naturally chaotic and many nearlyweds do not have the time, desire, or the inclination to plan their own weddings from scratch. Add on the stress of trying to navigate planning a wedding during a pandemic, and well you can do the math.
This is why we exist – to provide nearlyweds with unique, luxurious, COVID-friendly wedding options and take care of every detail, so everyone at one of our experiences can enjoy one of those most beautiful things life has to offer – true love.
With Intimate Wed Pop-Up Weddings, the experience is like a grand hot air balloon, coasting on drifts of mountain breezes as it glides over the Rockies below. From way up here, you can acknowledge and appreciate the beauty of a rocky and turbulent life and celebrate the view when you’re on top of it all.
Our couples have been navigating long enough, and now we can take the wheel.
We will take you on the ride of a lifetime with your loved ones and provide you with an experience like no other. You get to celebrate in style, not sweat the small stuff and start your life together with a new perspective, courtesy of Intimate Wed Pop-Up Weddings.

Corina Waldie | WPICC, DWC, CIP
Chief Experience Designer
Pronouns: She/Her
Hi there! I’m Corina, Chief Experience Designer for Intimate Wed Pop-Up Weddings.
I describe myself as an unapologetic, neurodivergent unicorn who marches to the beat of my own drum and rarely follows the norms. I’m here to not only plan fabulous experiences but to create weddings that help my clients put their focus on that what truly matters.
I believe life is meant to be lived to the fullest and seek daily to immerse myself in the joys, adventures and pleasures that this world has to offer, surrounded by those in my life who matter the most, and I encourage everyone to do the same.
I hold certifications in both wedding planning (WPICC) and destination wedding planning (DWC) from The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, as well as hold LGBTQ+ inclusive certification (CIP) from Equally Wed. Since becoming a wedding planner in 2015, I’ve had opportunities to plan dozens of weddings and events of all shapes and sizes – from tiny elopements all the way up to festivals for the City of Edmonton, and been featured on several national publications and podcasts.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I love to travel, study history, cook & bake (and eat!), play both board & video games, and hang out with my husband of 10 years, Jon aka Dear.
Hello, I’m Sydney. I would describe myself as half snooty-gentry-type-in-
When not obsessing over progressive, collaborative business practices or how to create complete immersion in an event, I like to hide in my cave (a.k.a. basement apartment) with books, art, music, and my cat Berlioz.
After a decade working in the summer camp world – reinforced with stints in education, tourism, retail, food service, disability advocacy, community organizing, and film & television – I realized I loved creating joyful experiences and setting the stage for some pretty epic memory building. I was certified as a wedding planner by the Wedding Planner’s Institute of Canada in 2016. I finally found Corina as my mentor in 2019 and, in 2021, became a partner in Intimate Wed. She’s the Picard to my Riker, and there’s no looking back.
I’m anti-racism, anti-ableism, pro-land-back, pro-weed, pro-gay, pro-choice, pro-trans, pro-fat, and pro-hoe. In the words of Bob Dylan, “Either be groovy or leave, man.”
